YOUR TASK
As a group, create one cosplay character and then photograph or film your character in action (i.e. a model wearing your costume). You will be assessed on your creation of the costume, not the photograph or filmed footage, however the photo/film is your opportunity to show off what you have made. You will need to use foam, glue, paint and other items to create a costume and props for your character. Each group member should be responsible for an individual item, e.g. a weapon, hat, mask, etc. You should plan your character as a group and then divide up the responsibilities, making sure that the workload is shared evenly. |

What is Cosplay?
Cosplay, a combination of the words 'costume' and 'play', is performance art where participants (called cosplayers) wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. These are often characters out of well-known pop culture texts such as anime films, manga graphic novels, books, films or television shows.
