Year 10 Media

Communication Theories Video Essay

Following on from our discussions on communication theories, you will each need to create a video essay detailing background information and examples of the theories in action. You may need to conduct individual research for this part.

The question your video essay should focus on is:
"Evaluate how much ability the media has to influence audiences. In your video essay, analyse arguments and evidence for your assigned communication theory."

Your video essay should run for approximately 3 minutes and should include background information on the communication theory, flaws or weaknesses/strengths of the theory as an analysis of media influence, as well as discussion of at least two examples that show the theory in action.
